GODDARD 4TH IN SUPER2 SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP

Zane Goddard has finished 4th in the 2019 Super2 Series Championship.

Race 1 – Position 10

Goddard qualified P11 in a car lacking pace for Saturday’s 20-lap race at the final round of the 2019 Super2 Series Championship.

After the Saturday afternoon race start, the race remained drama-free with no safety car which spread out the cars around the Newcastle Street Circuit.

Goddard was able to climb one position to finish P10 but dropped from 3rd to 4th in the Super2 Series Standings.

Race 2 – Position 6

Goddard improved on his Qualifying result on Sunday, advancing to P5 for the final race of the Series.

The MW Motorsport Driver dropped to P7 on the race start but advanced to P6 on lap 2.

Goddard remained in P6 for the majority of the race but with no Safety Car to bring the field back together, he crossed the line there.

Goddard closed out the 2019 Super2 Series Championship in 4th overall on 1347 points, just 49 points behind 3rd.

“4th for the year! Was hoping to fight for 2nd but unfortunately wasn’t to be. Huge thanks to the MW Motorsport crew and all my sponsors for the fantastic year. Big congrats to Bryce Fullwood on the championship. Bring on 2020!”
